Welcome to St. Luke Roman Catholic Church’s website. We are a community dedicated to the spirit and mission of Jesus Christ and the Roman Catholic tradition. Our parish is rich in faith as we gather in the celebration of the Eucharist to give witness to the presence of the Risen Lord in our lives.

We are committed to living the example of Christ as we interact with each other, our families and our community.  We provide ongoing faith formation opportunities for all ages as well as social and spiritual activities for all parishioners and families.

We hope this website provides interesting information about our church’s past, present, and future. So with an extended hand, we welcome all to join us.

HELP AND SUPPORT

GROCERY CARD VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
St Luke's is in need of volunteers to sell grocery cards before and after the weekend masses - especially Saturdays. Presently we only have 2 volunteers. If you are interested, please contact the rectory office at 908.754.8812 ext. 3

ST. LUKE'S IS IN URGENT NEED OF USHERS, READERS/LECTORS AND EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS
For each weekend Mass. If you are able to do so, please contract the rectory office. Thank you!

HEART TO HEART
St. Luke’s Heart to Heart Program is again asking for help from our parish for non perishable and canned food items (soups, tuna, canned vegetables and fruits, mac and cheese, pasta, pasta sauce, rice, dried beans, cereal, cookies, juices) for local victims of our Pandemic virus. Heart to Heart wants to continue supporting our local FISH as well as other community food distribution organizations to provide food for those in our community in need. We anticipate the local food needs will greatly accelerate in the wake of unemployment due to the Covid Pandemic. Getting food donations is difficult in that churches are closed, and accessibility is limited.

We are encouraging food donations as well as food gift cards. Donations can be made after each Mass. We will have people available there to accept the donations of food and gift cards. Along with the food and gift cards, please include non-perishable foods, diapers & personal care products, grocery gift cards. If anyone would wish to help in the collection process, please contact the church office with your information.

Thank you and bless you for whatever you are able to do in this special time of need.

DAILY PRAYER

Dear friends,
I found this prayer in one of my emails this morning and I invite you to pray it with me each day.
Msgr. Michael

Dear Lord, in Your great mercy and goodness, we ask that You please hear our prayers for all who are sick with the Corona Virus, and guide the hands and minds of the medical staff and all who work so hard to take care of the sick.
Be by the side of all who are sick, comfort their families, and let them know that You are with them, through this time of crisis and always.
Jesus, we love You, we adore You, and we trust in You. Even in this terrible time help us remember that You are always in control of our lives. Without You, we are nothing. Through You, we can do all things and believe all things.
So today Lord, we ask for Your divine healing for all who are sick with the Corona Virus. Breathe Your life into their lungs. We ask this in Your name now and forever. Amen.

EVENTS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

EURCHARISTIC REVIVAL
Wednesday March 15th at 7 pm in the church.
You are invited to our Eucharistic Revival talk at St. John the Evangelist. Deepening your knowledge in the Eucharistic during this year.

It is indeed an opportunity for each person to experience, in the words of one of the presenters, “our own revival of Eucharistic faith.” It is really true that all revival in the Church starts with one changed heart. Think of all the Saints before us who changed their world---real revival is very personal---and then we affect other people---when we change. May this coming year of Eucharistic Revival change more and more of our hearts to effect one another. I often think God wants to do something powerful with us---each one of us.

The talk will be followed by questions and answers.

Eucharistic Revival Prayer
O God, who in this wonderful Sacrament have left us a memorial of your passion, grant us, we pray, so to revere the sacred mysteries of Your Body and Blood that we may always experience in ourselves the fruits of your redemption. Who live and reign with God the Father in the Unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever.  Jesus, Lord of the Church, grant that by partaking of your Body and Blood we may become one body and one spirit in you. Amen.
God bless

PCL, St John the Evangelist
