Sponsor Letters:
Canon (Church) Law states that a Godparent for Baptism and a Sponsor for Confirmation be an active, fully-initiated Catholic (Confirmed). An active Catholic is a parishioner who is registered, attends Mass weekly, contributes to the support of the Church, publicly leads a genuine Christian lifestyle and is in a valid Catholic marriage (an individual married civilly by a judge or mayor, or divorced and remarried without an annulment is not eligible to act as a sponsor). Please note that we can only write Letters of Eligibility for parishioners who meet these criteria.
